Walt was a very friendly guy to deal with. Anytime there was a concern or questions about anything he would respond quickly. He even gave us his cellphone number. The place was nice just what my family needed. The kitchen was well stock with the essentials you needed to cook. Even items I didn't think they would have. The main living area is upstairs as well as one bed room and bathroom. Downstairs you have 3 other bedroom and 2 full baths. My family and I stayed during Thanksgiving week so it was cold there. The bottom floor would be a lot colder than upstairs even with the heater on. The facets for the downstairs bathroom had the hot and cold backwards. So if you wanted it to be hot water you had to turn the handle to the cold side. It was confusing at first but you get used to it after a few days. Beware there are bears that go through your trash cans at night. But honestly we didn't see any but woke up in the morning to the trashcan tipped over and trash on the ground. The location was amazing. We were near a lot of places we needed to go. Overall our stay here was pleasant.
Diane Thank you so much for choosing Coachman's View for your family's Thanksgiving holiday, we were honored to have you stay with us! Coachman's View is a new property on our program so we really appreciate all of your feedback. We want to make Coachman's View the best it can be and your contribution really helps. We will correct these issues before the next guests arrive. Yes, there are bear in the area. It is pretty rare to see them around homes or cabins especially since this property is so close to the Parkway and attractions. I always tell people to make a lot of noise when going outside at night in the parking lot because they will avoid humans if at all possible. We hope to see you again soon Walt
My wife and I took 2 of our children and 3 grandchildren to visit Pigeon Forge and we had a great time. The property is so close to the Parkway that you could probably walk. The decks are very private and it had a very nice view. We went to the "Island" on the Parkway, Gatlinburg, and Cades Cove were we saw a mama bear and 2 cubs so close to the road I wouldn't have been comfortable getting out of the car. Although we didn't go to Dollywood we passed the entrance many times it was only about 5 minute away! We will definitely be back
I am so glad you enjoyed your trip to Pigeon Forge and Coachman's View. I think Coachman's View is perfect for a family vacation, spending time with your children and grandchildren is what it is all about. With the parkway so close you are only minutes away from all of the things kids love to do. Wonderworks, dinner theaters like Hatfield and McCoy, Zip lines, go cart racing and of course Dolleywood. Although you are close to everything it is just far enough away to have some peace and quiet relaxing on the deck watching the sunset....The morning and the evenings on the deck are my favorite time of the day... We look forward to seeing you again! Walt
