As the whole world remembers the world`s most famous luxury liner, Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tn. will continue to open the door to the past in it`s one of a kind way letting “passengers” experience what it was like to walk the hallways, parlors, cabins and Grand Staircase of the Titanic while surrounded by more than 400 artifacts directly from the ship and its passengers. As visitors touch a real iceberg, walk the Grand Staircase and third class hallways, reach their hands into 28-degree water, and try to stand on the sloping decks, they learn what it was like on the RMS Titanic by experiencing it first hand. Each guest entering the ship will receive a boarding pass of an actual Titanic passenger or crew. Feel their spirit presence in the galleries where over 400 personal and private artifacts are on display. Many are on display for the first time in the world. This collection is valued at over four and a half million dollars. This is a self-guided tour. Discover your passenger or crew`s fate in the Titanic Memorial Room where 2,208 names line this historic wall. The heart of the ship is the Grand Staircase, constructed from the original Harland & Wolff plans with its oak carvings and cherub statue. Here, a magnificent glass dome reflects light off oak wall paneling and elaborate railings and iron scrollwork. Wide, sweeping steps and landings provide a spectacular area where the original guests of the RMS Titanic made their appearances. You`ll be surprised to learn what the floor was made of something considered most expensive for 1912.

One of the top things to do in Pigeon Forge, WonderWorks Indoor Amusement Park, is one of the best Pigeon Forge attractions. With over 42,000 square feet of edu-tainment, WonderWorks is an amusement park for the mind. The attraction combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark the imagination. This once top-secret laboratory was located in the Bermuda Triangle. An experiment gone awry lifted the laboratory, carrying it to Music Drive in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where it landed upside down. Luckily, all of the exhibits remained intact and available for guests to explore.

The Cades Cove Loop winds for 11 miles through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a picturesque drive with a backdrop of the mountain peaks and its lush, rolling greens. Europeans settled the Cades Cove area between 1818 and 1821. Today, visitors to Cades Cove can enjoy the largest variety of historic buildings in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When traveling the scenic loop road, plan to get out and visit the restored buildings that include three churches, log homes, cantilevered barns, and a working mill. Access the Cades Cove Loop from Laurel Creek Road, Parson Branch Road, or Rich Mountain Road, the latter two roads are closed during winter. The Loop is a one-way (one-lane) paved road. The scenic driving tour through the Cades Cove Loop takes approximately two to four hours depending on traffic. Because it is a single-lane road, be prepared to stop frequently, the slow pace makes it easy to enjoy the amazing mountain landscapes, wildflower meadows, and diverse wildlife. The gently winding road offers many places to stop, park and stretch your legs while taking in the scenery. Halfway through the Loop, make a point to stop at the Visitors Center. Pick up some trinkets to take home with you: souvenirs and maps are inside the store, as well as other locally made products. Photo opportunities are ample and, luckily, restrooms are available as well. The water-powered mill, named the John P. Cable Grist Mill is also near the visitor center and is definitely a must-see for all history lovers.
